Go Social to Tap into AACD ... Even if You Can't Be There By Kristen Colwell on March 25, 2017

Social media channels can be overwhelming. But Einstein Medical has created a simple dashboard that makes it easy for dentists to follow news and conversations about the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry annual events.

With just a click, you are online and plugged in at AACD events ... even if you can't be there in person.

How it works: Einstein Medical monitors news and commentary related to the annual AACD conference across various channels. We then share the most newsworthy posts on our @Einstein_AACD Twitter feed giving you one consolidated news source for the event.

As a bonus, we also offer a Twitter list that tracks AACD speakers and faculty active on Twitter. Both of these LIVE news feeds are embedded below and keep you on top of AACD news and people in real time.

How to Use the Event Dashboard

Here are the basics:

  1. Bookmark this page so you can quickly find it again
  2. See below for a list of event resource links.
  3. See our two live Twitter feeds.
    • The feeds are live so you can scroll within them to view more posts.
    • Feel free to interact with Twitter posts directly from these feeds (Twitter account required to reply, share, and like posts. How to Set-Up a Twitter Account)

Our Laser-Focused Twitter Feeds

The drawback to social media is that you can spend hours shifting through channels and feeds.

We've done the work for you by creating two streamlined Twitter feeds laser focused on AACD. By following these two live feeds, you can be among the first to view posts by event speakers, attendees, and of course, AACD.

Einstein Medical's AACD Event News Feed

Stay current by checking Einstein Medical's AACD event news feed before, during, and after the event for news and updates. You can watch this live feed update automatically or scroll within the feed to view more Tweets.

AACD Speaker News Feed

This next feed showcases posts by AACD speakers, past and present. You can click on the Twitter feed below before the event to see what speakers' are saying about their presentations or current issues.

Then keep checking back during and after the event to stay on top of conversations and network with your peers.

Interested in a practice management or accreditation course topic? Why not pose questions to the speaker of that session? It's easy to get the conversation going; just be social!

Has this intro tweaked your interest in social media? Twitter is a great option when you are attending an event, or wish you were there.

But in addition to networking, being active in social media can also make you that recognizable face in the crowd in your own hometown.

Remember: 83% of Americans have a social media account, and that group no doubt includes people in your own community who at some point will be looking for a dentist.

Why not start building a relationship with them now by using social media? The trick is understanding which channel to use and what to say.
